Zeenat and Khizir had their Ismaili Muslim wedding ceremonies in Atlanta. Usually, the muslim wedding itself known as the Nikkah is a short affair. However, like any other Pakistani and Indian wedding, this wedding event was 3 days of fun and laughter. More importantly, this was our opportunity to expand our relationships with family and friends as one of the most experienced muslim wedding photographers in Atlanta. The reason I say expand is because my Dad and his elder brother were the wedding photographers for Khizir’s grandparents’ wedding in Mumbai, India.
The first day of the event included the Zeenat’s bridal henna ceremonies. We had one of Atlanta’s best henna artist Rozi Salim (Instagram – @ Atlanta Henna Artist – Rozi Salim) working her magic. The process of applying bridal henna for a Muslim wedding can take an entire day. Also, it requires patience and a great attention to detail. The beauty of bridal henna is revealed a day after it has been applied. Rozi did exceptional work. We definitely noticed Zeenat’s henna stood out. It added a perfect blend of color with her Nikkah outfit and her bridal makeup.
For Zeenat’s bridal makeup , we worked Lizna (Instagram – @makeupmadnessbyliz). Lizna was her makeup artist for the entire Ismaili Muslim wedding in Atlanta. Also, she is one of the best wedding make up artists in Atlanta. She did a phenomenal job with her air brushes, bridal hair styling and the wedding outfit. As a muslim wedding photographer in Atlanta, we gauge the wedding make up artists ability by the time we spend doing post production on wedding portraits. Coupled with our wedding photography knowledge and Lizna’s bridal make up ability, we were able to efficiently edit Zeenat’s bridal portraits for the entire Ismaili muslim wedding.
Zeenat and Khizir shared some amazing moments for their henna ceremonies and sangeet ceremonies. For Zeenat’s wedding henna ceremonies, our primary focus was to capture her wedding couple portraits. However, as experienced muslim wedding photographers in Atlanta we realize the importance of capturing candid wedding moments that tell the story of the entire muslim wedding. The beautiful candid moments we captured for Zeenat’s henna did not disappoint us. In addition, we also captured some amazing pre-wedding portraits between Zeenat and Khizir.
After the sangeet, we had Zeenat and Khizir’s muslim wedding at the Marriott Atlanta in Peachtree Corners. The day of the nikkah was cold and windy. Surprisingly, it felt this wedding couple from Chicago had brought the Chicago weather along with them for their Ismaili Muslim wedding in Atlanta…talk about an Irony!. We started out the day of the Nikkah with some shots of Zeenat and Khizir getting ready. Due to some misunderstanding, we had to accommodate Zeenat and Khizir getting ready in the same suite at the Marriott. As wedding photographers, we have to be adaptable to anything that the day throws at us. We made it work and it took every one of us including the family members. We came out with some beautiful and amazing moments from their getting ready portraits, wedding first look and portraits, and their Nikkah ceremonies.
Eventually, the last part of the day was the wedding reception. The reception was held at Spring Hall Event Venue. The venue decor was provided by Euphoria Event Decor (Instagram – @euphoriaeventdecor). For the wedding reception, we had the pleasure of working with Atlanta’s best wedding DJ VJ (Instagram – @urboi.djvj) who really lit up the dance floor with his style of music and enthusiasm. Of course, Zeenat and Khizir were the highlight of the wedding reception. However, the biggest surprise was the bride and groom first dance. With all the expressions and emotions, it was one of the best performances we have seen. Indeed, the wedding reception images below will give a good glimpse of the fun Zeenat and Khizir had during their first dance.
